In an Introduction to Piano class, the student learns the layout of the keyboard, musical alphabet and simple five finger songs. Musical notation is introduced and improvisation is emphasized.
Games and activities are designed to allow the students to experience the musical concept in various ways and to make their own discoveries about it. Specific ear training games allow the students to develop their ‘inner hearing’ as well as their singing voices.

Introduction to Piano Level I for 5-6 year old on Friday at 04:15 pm (maximum 5 students in the class)

The classes will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, Natick and are subject to enrollment.
Introduction to Piano level I (for ages 5-6)
Eurhythmics training is supplemented with keyboard-specific activities that teach the musical alphabet and five-finger songs by ear. Musical notation is introduced and improvisation is emphasized.
Introduction to Piano Level II (for ages 6-8)
A sequel to Introduction to Piano level I in which the students are introduced to new pieces every week to strengthen their skills in melody and rhythm through note reading.
